AutoReel and Rendy are two well-known ways to turn listing photos into video. They also have two rules that send people looking elsewhere: AutoReel is sold only as a quarterly or annual subscription, with no pay-per-video option, and Rendy asks you to apply for access and is built for real estate media professionals.
If you are an agent who wants the whole launch kit for a listing, or a photographer who wants to add video to every shoot without an application or a long billing cycle, this guide compares six alternatives on the three things that matter most: what you get per listing, how you pay, and whether you can try it first.
The short answer: 6 alternatives compared
| Tool | Entry price (checked Oct 28, 2026) | Billing options | Free option | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| Reel-E | $59/mo, or $530/yr ($44/mo) for 3 listings/mo | Monthly or yearly, per listing | 7-day trial, card required, watermarked | Video in 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1, branded and unbranded, plus listing website and photo edits |
| PropReel | $19/mo for 10 videos; $182/yr annual | Monthly or annual | 1 free watermarked video, no card | Videos in up to 6 formats (3 per render, one shape); lead-capture share pages on Pro |

Why people look for an AutoReel alternative
AutoReel is a capable product, and it has a real free tier. The reasons people shop around are mostly about how you pay and what you can do before paying.
1. Subscription only, quarterly or annual. AutoReel's help center says it is available by subscription only, offers quarterly and annual subscriptions, and does not offer a pay-per-video option. Live plan figures checked on October 28, 2026: Essential $124/quarter · 5 videos or $399/year · 20; Growth $186/quarter · 12 or $599/year · 50; Pro $325/quarter · 25 or $1,099/year · 100. If you only need a reel for two listings this quarter, you are still buying a quarter.
2. Extra videos and rollover. Once your allowance is used, extras are billed on top of the plan. AutoReel does let unused credits roll over: up to 6 months on quarterly plans and up to 1 year on annual plans.
3. The free plan is for previewing, not posting. The free account allows up to 2 videos a month with a watermark. A separate 7-day trial includes 3 videos without a watermark. Downloads on the free path are limited — confirm the live account screen before you plan a post.
4. Cancelling ends your credits. AutoReel's cancellation article says you keep access until the end of the billing cycle, and after that regular, rollover, and evergreen credits expire. Unused rollover credits don't survive cancellation.
None of this makes AutoReel a bad choice. If you post video every week and are happy with annual billing, its rollover rules are generous. But if you want month-to-month billing or a one-off purchase, look elsewhere.
Why people look for a Rendy alternative
Rendy is built for photographers who want to sell video on every shoot. Its homepage pitch is literally "Add $75-$150 per shoot by turning photos into videos." That is a vendor claim, not market data. Three things send people elsewhere:
1. You have to apply. Rendy's FAQ says access is limited and they onboard selectively. If you need to deliver a reel this week, an approval step is a risk.
2. It's built for media pros, not agents. Rendy describes itself as built for real estate media professionals — photographers and media companies. Agents who want to make their own listing reels are not the core audience.
3. Pricing is per listing. One listing equals 6 videos from 20 photos: $49 one-time for a single listing, $79 for 5 listings, or $260 a month for 20. That's good value if you want six vertical videos per property. It's less flexible if you want one strong reel plus copy and a page to send clients.
To be fair to Rendy: the $49 single-listing option means you aren't forced into a subscription to try it, once you're approved.
The 6 alternatives, reviewed
Below is what each tool offers based on its own pages, checked October 28, 2026. This section is feature and billing focused — not a ranked bake-off of motion quality.
1. Outlist: Reel + caption + share page in one
What it is: Outlist turns 6–9 listing photos into a launch package. Every generation includes a downloadable 9:16, 1080×1920 MP4 reel, a property-specific caption with a goal-aligned CTA and hashtags, and a branded share page with your brand, contact details and the reel. You choose a listing goal such as Just Listed, Open House, Price Drop or Sold.
Pricing (checked Oct 28, 2026): Monthly plans start at $59 (Lite), $149 (Pro) and $249 (Agency). Annual billing is 50% off and loads all 12 months of credits upfront: Lite $354/year (about 60 standard videos, $5.90 each), Pro $894/year (about 180 videos, $4.97 each), and Agency $1,494/year (about 360 videos, $4.15 each). One standard reel uses 10 credits. For occasional projects there are one-time Credit Packs with no subscription (Quick Pack from $59 for about 4 standard videos), valid for 12 months — confirm the live pack table on outlist.io/pricing.
Billing flexibility: You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing, and monthly credits stay available for 90 days. If a generation fails, its credits are returned automatically.
Pros
- One upload gives you the three things you post: video, copy and a link to send clients.
- Monthly, annual or one-time packs, so you don't have to commit to a quarter or a year.
- Commercial use is included, so photographers can deliver outputs to clients.
Cons
- No free plan.
- Vertical 9:16 only per its FAQ; no landscape MLS cut is listed.
- Up to 9 photos per reel. Copy is currently optimized for English.
- Outlist doesn't replace a filmed walkthrough or drone video, and says so itself.
Best for: Agents and photographers who want a finished social launch kit per listing, without quarterly or annual lock-in.
2. Reel-E: per-listing video + listing website
What it is: Reel-E charges per listing. Each listing includes every video format (16:9, 9:16 and 1:1, branded and unbranded) plus a listing website, photo edits and staging.
Pricing: Essential is $59/month or $530/year ($44/month) for 3 listings a month; Growth $129/month or $1,160/year for 10; Pro $599/month or $5,390/year for 50. There's a 7-day trial on any plan; it needs a card and trial videos are watermarked.
Pros: Multiple aspect ratios and a listing website per listing; unused listings bank up to 3 months' worth. Cons: No free plan; you need a card for the trial. Best for: Agents who want a full listing website and every aspect ratio, and who list at a steady monthly pace.
3. PropReel: low entry price, voiceover in 15 languages
What it is: A photo-to-video generator with AI camera motion, staging and voiceover in 15 languages.
Pricing: One free watermarked video per account, no card. Starter is $19/month (10 videos), Pro $49/month (25), Agency $129/month (60, 5 seats). Annual is $182, $470 or $1,238 a year. Paid plans have a 3-day money-back guarantee.
Pros: Low entry price; Pro adds lead-capture share pages and voice cloning. Cons: Each render is one shape, horizontal or vertical. Auto-posting isn't available yet. Best for: Agents on a tight budget who want narration or non-English voiceover.
4. VideoTour.ai: video tours with a free first video
What it is: Turns up to 60 photos per listing into a video tour with music, an AI-generated caption and a smart editor.
Pricing: First video free, no card. The marketing page shows Independent $29/month for 10 videos; Agency $59/month for 40; a $99/month tier for 200. VideoTour's help center also lists higher month-to-month catalog prices, with $29 / $59 / $99 as annual monthly-equivalents — check the Monthly/Annual toggle before you buy.
Pros: You can render horizontal, vertical and square at no extra cost; unlimited revisions. Cons: Unused videos don't roll over to the next month. AI motion beyond the included animations uses credits. Best for: High-volume agents and teams who want longer tours and many videos a month.
5. Amplifiles: pay per image
What it is: AI listing video priced by the number of images you use.
Pricing: $1.50 per image pay as you go (a 7-image video is about $10.50), or a monthly subscription with a lower per-image rate. New users get 1,200 free credits with no card.
Pros: No commitment needed; multilingual voiceover and captions; video ready in about 5 minutes (company claim). Cons: Cost grows with photo count. No share page or listing website is listed on its pricing page. Best for: Agents with a few listings a year who want to pay only when they need a video.
6. BetterSpace: free monthly videos + staging
What it is: Listing video and virtual staging, with listing sync and social tools on higher plans.
Pricing: Free plan with 2 videos a month, no card. Paid plans: Lite $29/month (100 credits), Starter $49 (200), Growth $89 (400, 2 team members), Pro $159 (800, 3 team members). Each paid plan has a 3-day trial.
Pros: An ongoing free tier; staging included; social post scheduling on Growth and up. Cons: Credit-based, so the number of videos per plan depends on your mix. Subscription fees are non-refundable once a period starts. Best for: Agents who want staging and video in one place and want to start free.
For photographers: packaging reels as a shoot add-on
Rendy's own marketing pitches "$75-$150 per shoot." That's a vendor's claim, not market data. Still, it's a reasonable range to test as an add-on price for your market. Here's one way to package it with any tool that allows commercial use:
- Starter add-on: one vertical reel and a ready-to-post caption, delivered with the photo gallery.
- Launch add-on: a Just Listed reel plus an Open House reel, plus a share page the agent can text to buyers.
- Price-change refresh: a new reel from the same photos when the price changes, so the agent has something new to post.
If you use Outlist for client work, paid outputs can be used commercially and delivered to clients, and the share page carries your brand and contact details with a small "Powered by Outlist" credit at the bottom. Set your price by your own shoot rates and margins; we're not publishing a recommended price.

Accuracy matters: California's AI-edit disclosure rule (AB 723)
If you market California listings, check the edits before you post. AB 723 added Section 10140.8 to the California Business and Professions Code, effective January 1, 2026.
What it says, in short:
- If a broker or salesperson (or someone acting for them) uses a digitally altered image in an ad or promotional material for a sale, they must include a conspicuous statement that the image was altered, plus a link, URL or QR code to the original, unaltered image.
- "Digitally altered" means using photo-editing software or AI to add, remove or change elements such as furniture, fixtures, flooring, paint color, landscaping, the facade, or views through windows.
- Basic adjustments like lighting, white balance, color correction, cropping, straightening and exposure are not covered, as long as they don't change how the property is represented.
What this means for photo-to-video tools: virtual staging, sky replacement, decluttering and twilight conversions are the kinds of edits the law describes. Several tools in this list offer those features. If you use them for a California listing, add the disclosure and link to the originals.
Outlist says it is designed to market the property shown in your photos, "not invent new rooms, renovations, views, or amenities," and asks you to review each reel before publishing because AI motion can still produce artifacts. Whatever tool you use, review every frame against the real property. This is general information, not legal advice; check with your broker or the California DRE.
